If you are starting to work out.  There are a couple of things to consider if you go to the gym.  Most people are either there to gain muscle or lose weight.  Strangely enough, the two are related when it comes to training.  We wanted to share 3 of the best ways to gain muscle fast.

With so much information out there to consume. It’s hard to know what works to gain muscle.  Well no matter what your body type, weight goals, or aspirations. some fundamentals don’t change to gaining muscle.

Eat Big / Eat Right

Gain muscle or lose weight, the two are related.  You need to develop and stick to a diet or lifestyle eating plan.  I really hate the word diet, but in this case what I mean by diet is eating healthy, eating whole foods, eating often.

So skip the hot chips, and soft drinks, and go for apples, bananas, and water.  Plan your daily eating times, around 4 – 6 times per day.  Add a meal replacement supplement as well.

It’s the same with wanting to lose weight, get rid of the crap in your diet, and eat healthy.  Stick to plenty of meats and vegetables, and salads, just make sure your portions are smaller.

Lift Big / Lift Often

If you want to gain muscle, you need to push your muscles past failure.  Start training with basic exercises, and lift heavy.  I’m not talking about crap form, stick to heavy weights so that you can keep good form.  All while lifting to failure in the 6 – 8 rep range.  Tip Make sure you have a spotter though.

It’s the same with wanting to lose weight, lift in the 10 – 15 rep range, and stick to good form.

Sleep big / Sleep Well

The sleep well part is don’t think the four hours of sleep a night is enough.  Or that drinking passing out, and sleeping, is going to cut it.  Sleep is one of the most underrated parts of gaining muscle or losing weight

You need to target 7 – 9 hours of sleep and make sure your bedroom, is set up to make sure that you get the best night’s sleep possible.  This means get your TV out of the bedroom, and don’t eat food in your bedroom.

That’s it, the 3 fundamentals of how you can gain muscle fast.  Don’t overthink it either, just start, the muscle gains will come.
